In addition to producing an award-winning short independent film, Chris has written teleplays on several different subject matters. Contact him in Bedford, New Hampshire, for further details about any of the scripts listed below.

Innocent Plea

Innocent Plea is the basis of the larger script for Rejected Professional. The plot centers around Tom Fox, an arrogant law student and part-time assistant in his father's law firm who sets up a ransom plan to get back at his father, Mr. Fox, and brother, William Fox, for disowning him. After Tom is caught cheating and expelled from law school, he ends up having a fling with William's fiancé, Anne Johnson. Anne later breaks off the affair because they have no future together and moves forward with marrying William, who is also made a senior partner in the law firm by Mr. Fox. These series of events cause Tom to seek vengeance. He tricks his father, brother, and Anne into meeting him for dinner. Tom pulls out a gun and demands that William bring back $1 million from their father's law safe.

Told through flashbacks, the film directed by Doug Martin starts with Tom Fox holding his family hostage and William Fox going to retrieve money from the safe. Events unfold as the audience is shown what happens each day of the week leading up to the ransom plan. Ian McGlocklin worked as director of photography, and Azeem Robinson served as assistant director.

Rejected Professional

Rejected Professional is a full-length teleplay about the main character from Innocent Plea. There are two separate treatments and teleplays available for the scripts, which are both copy written.

No One To Help

This feature-length screenplay follows the relationship between a troubled youth and his mental health counselor. Johnny Rich is a 16-year-old who witnesses his gang member brother, Sam Rich, murder Jim Towers in a 7-Eleven store. Shortly afterwards, Johnny is sent to the Boys & Girls Clubs as a new client of David Waters, Jim's best friend. Despite Johnny's relationship with someone who murdered his best friend, David is driven to help this underprivileged youth escape from a gang lifestyle.

Abuse of Power

This full-length script features a cop who goes undercover as a student teacher to find out how money has been stolen from a college trust fund. The script begins with Mr. Stonebinder, dean of the college, discussing the disappearance of trust fund money specifically geared toward working with the homeless. He sets up an investigation to determine if one of the teachers or students has stolen the money. Ken Cain discovers that Mr. Stonebinder orchestrated the whole scenario.

Deadly Secrets

Deadly Secrets is a full-length teleplay about a new graduate teacher who pursues his doctorate and falls in love after serving time for being wrongfully accused of killing his mother. Chris Sanders arrives at the university without anyone having knowledge of him being released from prison. He immediately falls in love with Allison Weeks, a graduate student and student teacher in psychology. She is in an abusive relationship with a doctoral candidate and physical fitness teacher named Greg.

There are noticeable instances in which Greg is seen verbally and physically abusing Allison. Chris tries to convince Allison to break off her future marriage, but she is unwilling. Greg is chairman of the health department and eventually finds out about Chris's past. When Chris physically confronts Greg regarding his abusive behavior toward Allison, Greg vows to come clean to students and faculty about the abuse and even approach the dean with his resignation letter and withdraw as a doctoral candidate. Instead, Greg lies and says that Chris has been physically abusing Allison and reveals he knows about his time in prison. The truth eventually comes out about what has been happening to Allison.
